How do I authenticate to Windows Active Directory username/password database via LDAP to log in to SERIMUX-SCRP-x console server?

  • Install Active Directory services
  • Configure the DNS
  • Setup Domain Account

  • Access the web interface
  • Select Network > Web server configuration

  • Enter in the Second LDAP Server (if necessary)
  • Enter the LDAP search base
    Ex: dc=dell,dc=local
Note: If the container is given a name, this will need to be entered into
    the search base.
Ex: If the container is named SERIMUX Users
The search base entry will be: ou=serimux,ou=users,dc=dell,dc=local
  • Enter the Domain Name for the active directory
    Ex. dell.local

Set up the SERIMUX-SCRP-16 for Serial Port Authentication:

  • Access the web interface
  • Select Serial Port >Configuration
  • Choose All or an Individual port > Authenticaton
  • Choose the authentication method
    Ex: LDAP server
  • Enter in the First LDAP Server
    Ex. 192.168.1.42
  • Enter in the Second LDAP Server (if necessary)
  • Enter the LDAP search base
    Ex: dc=dell,dc=local
Note: If the container is given a name, this will need to be entered into
    the search base.
Ex: If the container is named SERIMUX Users
The search base entry will be: ou=serimux,ou=users,dc=dell,dc=local
