[156] UNIMUX-USBV-xUO: The front push buttons do not work.    « Back to Category
Author: Administrator, Created on: Jan 13, 2009 2:53 PM
Language: English

Issue:
The front push buttons do not work.

Cause:

  • The user is not authorized to access the switch unless logged in.
    OR
  • The ?Cascade? DIP switches on the front panel of the switch are not all set to the ?OFF? position.

Solution:

  • When a standard user powers up the system, a security screen will appear if security has been enabled by the administrator. If the screen saver is on, disable the screen saver via keyboard or mouse, or power cycle the unit to access the login screen. Login with proper username or password assigned by the administrator to resume control of the switch. If the user does not know the appropriate user name and password (setup by the administrator), contact the switch administrator for this information.
    OR
  • Turn all of the DIP switches to the ?OFF? position, and power cycle the unit.
