E-5D: How to Set Up Alerts and Different Contact Settings for Specific Times of the Day/Week

Setting Up Alerts for Specific Times of the Day/Week

Have a user only receive alerts during specific times and days of the week.

  • Access the ENVIROMUX web interface, go to Administration > Users, and edit the user whose schedule needs to be defined.

  • Click on “Schedule Settings” and change the Schedule Type to “Active during defined times”.

  • Choose the Start Day and End Day of the week (e.g. Monday and Friday) and the Start Hour and End Hour (e.g. 8:00 and 17:00).

  • Once these settings are saved, the sensor alerts attributed to this user will only be sent out during the specified times of the selected days. Each user can have their own defined days and times for receiving alerts.

    • Using the examples given above as an illustration, the user would only receive alerts during 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday. If the alerts were to go off on a Sunday or at 9pm on a weekday, that particular user would not receive the alert.

Setting Up Alerts for Different Contact Settings During Specific Times of the Day/Week

Have a user receive alerts from a different address or phone number during the weekend or any other specified time period.

  • Set up two user accounts.

    • If the available number of user accounts is an issue, a user with administrator rights can change the Contact Settings of that user when needed.

      • Note: this change will have to be implemented whenever the user needs the 2nd contact settings activated or to return to the 1st contact settings. Failure to change the Contact Settings when desired will result in alerts being sent to the incorrect email/phone.

  • 1st user account

    • Select the 1st user account under Users.

    • Click on Contact Settings and fill out the desired contact information.

      • Example: Email1; Phone1.

    • Click on Schedule Settings and select the desired Schedule Settings (see first section).

      • Example: Active during defined times; Monday; Friday; 8:00; 17:00.

  • 2nd user account

    • Select the 2nd user account under Users.

    • Click on Contact Settings and fill out the desired contact information.

      • Example: Email2; Phone2.

    • Click on Schedule Settings and select the desired Schedule Settings (see first section).

      • Example: Active during defined times; Saturday; Sunday; 9:00; 20:00.

  • With the example set up, Email1 and Phone1 will receive alerts during 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday, and Email2 and Phone2 will receive alerts during 9am-8pm, Saturday to Sunday.
