SPLITMUX-HD-4RT: How to Setup a Cascade Configuration for Single Web Interface Control

splitmux-hd-4rt-cascade-settings.jpg

To set up a cascade configuration for a single web interface control, each SPLITMUX in the cascade must first be configured individually using Web Interface > Administration > Cascade Settings.

The master unit should always have the Output type selected as "Direct," and any input connected to a slave should have "Cascade" selected and the corresponding IP address of the slave units entered. In the above example, the unit is a master, and it has two slaves connected to Input 2 and Input 3.

Any slaves should always have the Output type selected as "Cascade" with the IP address of the master or higher level slave entered. If the slave unit is connected to input sources and not slaves, the inputs should be selected as "Direct." If the slave is connected to a lower level slave, the input should be selected as "Cascade" with the corresponding slave IP address entered.

Once all units have been configured for cascade, they can be directly controlled from a single web interface. All units must be connected to the LAN through the Ethernet port for this configuration to work.
