E-5D: Can the Office 365 Exchange Server be Used to Send Alert Messages?

Yes. The E-5D software does support using an Office 365 Exchange Server to send alert messages. First, set up your Office 365 Exchange Server email. To send alerts to a user with an Office 365 Email, enter the email address under Administration -> Users -> Configure User -> Contact Settings -> E-mail Address.  To send alerts from an Office 365 Account, enter the Account address under Administration -> Enterprise -> Enterprise Settings -> E-mail.

Next, go to Network -> SMTP Settings and enter the SMTP Server as “smtp.office365.com”. Then, select Use STARTTLS and Use Authentication. Enter the Port number as 587. Enter the Office 365 account email address as the username, and the Office 365 account password as the password. The password is case sensitive.
