[45] UNIMUX-2X8-U (serial # 288 and lower) & UNIMUX-4X8-U (serial # 251 and lower) : Keyboard and mouse occasionally fail on random user ports    « Back to Category
Author: Administrator, Created on: May 9, 2006 5:51 PM
Language: English

Issue:
Keyboard and mouse occasionally fail on random user ports

Cause:
One of the user ports may fail, causing both the keyboard and mouse connected to that user port to lock up, while the remaining user ports continue to work properly. By turning the unit off and on, the problem will be fixed temporarily, but the keyboard and mouse could potentially lock up again.

Solution:
For UNIMUX-2X8-U (with serial number 288 and lower) and UNIMUX-4X8-U (with serial number 251 and lower), the unit needs a firmware upgrade. The Firmware needs to be upgraded at an NTI service location.
