E-SEMS-16: All front panel LEDs are on, unit is unresponsive
Author: Administrator, Created on: Oct 28, 2010 4:56 PM

Issue:

All of the front panel LEDs are on, and the unit is unresponsive

Cause:

The unit's firmware is corrupted.

Solution:

1. Connect a serial cable between a PC and the console port of the E-SEMS-x Unit. Have a Hyperterminal (or other serial com application) open and set to current serial settings of the E-SEMS-x Unit (default is 9600).

2. Turn the ENVIROMUX-SEMS-16 off, and then back on. (If the ENVIROMUX-SEMS-16 is still on after the power switch is turned off, press the "Reset" button until the LEDs turn off)

3. Hyperterminal will display: "Start Recovery….CCCCC"

After the first C shows on the display, click "Transfer File", transfer as a x-modem file, and select the firmware file to be transferred. This will start the firmware upgrade.

4. Once the upgrade is complete, the E-SEMS-16 should reboot with the new firmware.
