UNIMUX-nXm-UHD: How to Receive Switching Notifications via RS232 or Ethernet Using RS232 or Telnet commands, users can enable the Autostatus feature. Autostatus will send a message via RS232 or Telnet to the administrator when any output-to-input connection change occurs, regardless of the control source (OSD, front panel interface, etc.). Autostatus is disabled by default whenever the connection is established or when power is interrupted. Users must manually activate Autostatus whenever a connection is established to receive messages. RS232 Commands To activate Autostatus, key in “SS SW,01”, where SW is the unit address of the switch. Up to 15 units can be daisy-chained and controlled by RS232. If switch 01 is to activate Autostatus, the following should be entered: SS 01,01 If switch 05 is to activate Autostatus, the following should be entered: SS 05,01 The Autostatus message format will be “pc SW,OP:IP<CR>” To deactivate Autostatus, enter “SS SW,00”, where SW is the unit address of the switch. Note: Autostatus is not supported by the included Matrix Switcher's Control Program. Telnet Commands Since the units are connected via Ethernet, ensure that the correct IP address of the switch is being controlled. To activate Autostatus, key in “SS 01<CR>” after accessing the desired switch. The Autostatus message format will be: Byte 1 | Byte 2 | Byte 3 | Byte 4 | Byte 5 | Byte 6 | Byte 7 | Byte 8 | Byte 9 | 'p' (0x70) | 'c' (0x63) | Space (0x20) | Output – 1st digit (0x30…0x32) | Output – 2nd digit (0x30…0x39) | ':' (0x3A) | Input – 1st digit (0x30…0x32) | Input – 2nd digit (0x30…0x39) | <CR> (0x0D) | To deactivate Autostatus, key in “SS 00<CR>”.
