What is a TIMEP server?

TIMEP stands for Time Protocol. A TIMEP server is dedicated to maintaining and providing the current time to devices requesting it. A device, like the ENVIROMUX-MINI, sends a TIMEP message to a TIMEP server to periodically synchronize its time with the TIMEP server's time.

For more information on TIMEP, read the official RFC document for TIMEP, RFC 868.
